Silver Elastic Cord is back

Silver Elastic cord is BACK! Well, as of tomorrow it will be! The Holiday mini catalog will be available to order from tomorrow. The silver elastic cord is available in it again. Contact me if you want a copy. I'm mailing some out in a day or so to my customers.
This card has a lot of embossing, which is hard to see in the photo. Both of these stamps are from the Level 2 Hostess set Christmas Punch. I love playing with new stamps, don't you?

Really? Inspired by baby formula?

Really. Check out my friend's baby formula promotion envelope. I saw that envelope and thought it would make a cool card. So this is what I came up with. It's basically a one layer card except for the greeting which was punched out with the Modern Label punch and adhered with dimensional. I also learned from the advertising that Rich Razzleberry and Brilliant Blue make a bold statement.
What will inspire you today?

Need A Tissue?

I saw an tissue holder on Jan Tinks blog reciently and that is where I got this idea. I didn't follow her directions, but she does give good ones, if you want to make her version and own a Big Shot die cutting machine. I winged it and my creation is a bit different than hers. This is for a travel size tissue packet. This is for a 3-D swap with my upline.

The top and bottom are Top Note dies cuts in Bashful Blue. I didn't realize how off the colors are in the photos until just now. That is stamped with the snowflakes from the Branch Out set. It is on the dormate list and is still available. These snowflakes are stamped in Bashful Blue.

It's hard to see in the photo, but the sides are wheeled with the Jolly standard wheel in Brilliant Blue on Brilliant blue paper.

The hole for the tissues was punched with the Modern Label punch. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set stamped in Orchard Opulance on Naturals White paper. It is punched out with the large oval punch and layered on Orchard Opulance paper punched out the with Modern Label punch. To get a hole to thread the ribbon through I used the double rectangle punch. The trick is to only advance the paper far enough for one of the two rectangles to punch the paper. The second rectangle punches nothing but air.
This project also qualifies for this weeks PPA4 challenge at Pals Paper Arts. This week the challenge is to make anything but a card. Perfect timing for my 3-D swap project.

Pals Paper Arts Inspiration Challenge

Just barely time to get this posted before the deadline of noon today. Geesh. I made the card over the weekend! This is the 3rd challenge from Pals Paper Arts and is an inspiration challenge. So from the photo of the Pottery Barn kids room, I was inspired to create my card. The white lines in the Certainly Celery were made by scoring lines on my paper trimmer. Then I took a Craft Whisper White ink pad and rubbed it over the score lines. I happen to have a juicy Craft pad, so there was some additional ink, which I kind of like. I guess it's a rustic look or something. Anyway, the photo is cute, but rooms are NEVER that clean at my house! Sometimes when I look at magazine photos and I'm drawn to rooms, I really think it's the cleanliness I'm liking! haha!
Hope everyone has a great day! I think we are going to try to make it to the pool. Lots of sunscreen for all!

Earthy Fall Colors

This is either an earthy fall colored card or colors straight from the 1970s! I'm a child of the 1970s so that is fine with me. I made this last week while I was playing around with the new in-colors. Not much fancy on this except I used the Color Spritzer tool to add some blue speckles to the sky.
Happy Stampin' Saturday!

Lots of Bots to Color

We made this card at Stamp Club last week. I saw a similar one in a photo of the display boards from the StampinUp! Convention last week. This idea has been around and I've seen similar ones around with different sets. You may do this with any lined image suitable for kids.

We stamped the images from the Lots of Bots set in Basic Black ink on to Naturals White card stock. I didn't use Whisper White because I thought the texture of the Naturals paper would be more suitable for coloring with Crayons. Before stamping, scotch tape was used to mask off the sentiments below the images. We taped over the words, inked the stamp, removed the tape, and stamped.

To attach the Crayons we punched out a large oval in Crushed Curry card stock. The double rectangle punch was used to make holes into the oval thread the black gingham ribbon though. The crayons are just tied tightly on with the ribbon. We bumped up the adhesive a notch by using Sticky Strip to support the weight of the Crayons. The main image was adhered to the Bermuda Bay base with SNAIL adhesive.

While I wouldn't mail this card, it does fit (barely, but it WILL work) into a Naturals white envelope.

Tart and Tangy Catalog CASE

Here is another Idea Book and Catalog CASE (Copy And Share Everything.) I thumbed through the catalog to see what SU had done with some of the sets I owned. I came across the image on page 126 with the Tart and Tangy set. I like the card, but not the colors so I used the colors from the Designer Series paper on page 161 called Pink Flamingo. I didn't have all the same circle punches used on the card I CASED, so I used what I have. I also moved the ribbon and sentiment and added a scalloped layer. I love how bright and cheerful this card is!
Hope you find time to stamp today! I doing a little stamp session at Vacation Bible school at church tonight.
